Brief History

The Directorate of Research and Innovation (DRI) is mandated to oversee and promote the research and innovation agenda of KTU. The Directorate over the years executes this agenda through a number of activities. These activities are categorized into four thematic areas, which are:

1. Research and Knowledge sharing (Conferences)
2. Publication (Journals)
3. Innovation, Technology Transfer and Research Centre Development
4. Proposal and Grants Administration

The Directorate also has the ability to undertake more research initiatives. Therefore, Researchers are consistently encouraged to come up with new ideas that would help them embark on innovative projects in Applied Research. The Directorate also encourages KTU Faculties, Administrators and Students to actively participate and present their Papers at their Conferences and Seminars that would be organized.
